Founded in 1991, University of Traditional Medicine (UTM), Armenia, is one of the unprecedented and leading educational institutions in the region. For the whole period of its activity, the university administration and the professors consistently have sought to implement the educational process in accordance with international standards. Staff consists of experienced scientists, professors and doctors, whose work has a great reputation and occupies a worthy place in the system of higher education.


University prepares high-level medical scientists who are experienced in using scientific empirical methods of diagnosis and treatment of traditional and modern medicine. Those, displaying clinical flexible thinking, apply their theoretical and practical knowledge, gained during their studies, in practice, combining traditional medicine and modern methods of diagnosis and treatment.


The university cooperates with national and foreign institutions and organizations.Housed in Yerevan, the capital city of The Republic of Armenia, amongst the plethora of facilities available for development and enhancement of students' clinical and practical skills, UTMA has laboratories for Histology, Gross Anatomy, Microbiology, Parasitology, and Pathology. Students gain hands-on experience where they get to perform dissection of cadavers in Gross Anatomy.


UTMA aims to produce competent medical practitioners who are educated on an innovative case-based curriculum that develops students to become self-directed and lifelong learners – qualities that will prepare them for professional practice. One of the strengths of the UTMA Curriculum is that it incorporates information technology-based capabilities to enhance learning and assessments.

GETTING THERE

At the time of counseling, please carry the following documents..

  1. Passport
  2. Marks Sheet (Class 10th)
  3. Marks Sheet (Class 12th)
  4. NEET Score Card

For Visa and Admission, following documents will be required:

  1. UTMA’s duly filled Application Form.
  2. 1 colored passport size photographs (White background, with 75% face visible, on matt paper).
  3. Marks Sheet (Class 11th)
  4. All marks sheets of the graduation program (for students seeking admission on the basis of the Graduate degree.)
  5. Degree of Graduation.

ACCREDITATIONS

UTMA is listed with Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research as well as with the World Directory of Medical Schools

The MD Degree from UTMA is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) as an equivalent of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, similarly offered in the U.K., Australia, India, and other Commonwealth nations.

A medical student officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a medical school that is outside the U.S. and Canada, listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, is eligible to take the United States Medical Licensing Examination.

The UTMA is duly listed in the World Health Organization’s Directory of Medical Schools

SECURITY DEPOSIT: INR 10,00,000/- (Refundable upon successful completion of the course)
Payable to 9Changes: INR 160,000/- plus Service Tax as levied by the Government of India (inclusive of the following charges)
